Leafs started out looking good, but then refused to shoot the puck on the power play for some reason and then Tampa took over. What is it that makes the Leafs look like world beaters one night and Cannon fodder the next?

I think part of the issue with the Leafs is that their top two centres are not the classic playmaking centres. It works in the regular season, but I am not sure having a center like Matthews who is more of a goalscorer than a playmaker is ideal.

Hughson was annoying as Leaf homer but was fine if you got him doing non Leaf games. Cuthbert is seemingly falling into the same category.
Don't really care of about the Leafs or early games or any games Flames aren't in, as a rarely watch other games, but looking ahead to R2 when we may have him and Simpson.

Correct. First full game I've watched non Flames all season, as situation dictates my movements are limited. Didn't change the channel since the draft lottery for some reason.
