The Detroit Red Wings are not renewing the contracts of head coach Jeff Blashill, assistant coach Doug Houda and goaltending coach Jeff Salajko, the team announced Saturday.

Not really surprising as the Wings didn't seem to be making a lot of progress under him and their goals against was horrible and the new coach needs to be able to implement a better defensive system.
