"Line combinations weren't good, our pairs weren't good, our team wasn't good," coach Dean Evason said. "When I say there wasn't one good player on our hockey club ... we could talk to every one of the guys and say they didn't play well. We could go through the entire lineup from the goalie to every other player."

"Even though they have the top spot in the division sewn up, the Flames have not relaxed a bit, and that's by design. Coach Darryl Sutter is doing what he can to prevent his team from coasting down the stretch and creating bad habits with a playoff series just around the corner."

Battle for maybe 3rd round home ice in the playoffs if everything goes well. Still something on the line at least.

A win would guarantee us home ice against everyone else in the West aside from Colorado... who will choke in the 2nd round anyway per usual.

Get ‘r done

This could be a Western Conference final opponent in the SCP, so a win locking down home ice advantage is important! GFG!

Spurgeon, Dumba and Zuccarello might not play tonight as per a tweet retweeted by Friedman. Talbot is starting.

Sutter talked about him a few days ago and he's not worried.TT is playing well even without the points and he'll definitely be welcome to produce some points on top of playing well .

I just want NO injuries before the dance starts especially with how rough that last game was ....74 hits in the 1st period lol.....
Let's beat these guys .

Just having a second line with Toffoli and Mangiapane on it means opposing teams can't just focus all their effort on shutting down the top line. That's what makes having an actual second line so important. Even if they don't score, they still need defensive attention.

Even within the lines... you can't just focus on Toffoli and leave Mangiapane open, and vice versa. Man, I do not miss the seasons of "shut down Johnny and ignore the rest."

Flames win they clinch 2nd in the West I believe?

Not sure if winning the division trumps points if the Wild or Blues finished with more points than the Flames if they were to meet in the third round.

Was it Matheson who got pissy that Pull Your RV wore #98?

How has he not had daily tantrums with Kaprizov wearing #97?

The Wild should be motivated for a win in order to secure home ice advantage over their probable first round opponents St. Louis. Odd to see them not go with a stronger lineup.
