Flames Lebrun: Flames prepared to have Hanifin at training camp with low trade offers so Far

https://twitter.com/user/status/1674172018588102656

Quote:
• several teams, including florida and boston, have shown interest in noah hanifin, but the flames have not been presented with anything close to what they believe is fair value. My understanding of the situation, as of thursday, is that first-time gm craig conroy has let teams know that he’s not going to sell low on hanifin — that he will be patient and wants to see a proper trade play out. If that acceptable trade doesn’t pan out this summer, then so be it. The flames are prepared to have hanifin come back to training camp still part of the team.

The opening of free agency saturday could help move things along as far as other teams who have interest in hanifin. Perhaps they take a swing at ufa dmitry orlov, strike out and then circle back with more serious trade offers. That’s a distinct possibility. But whatever the case, conroy is prepared to be patient.

Hopefully not as the centerpiece.
I like Duclair, but there better be a whole lot more to that package.

If it's Florida and Hanafin is involved, Lundell or nothing.

Better be Duclair ++

Glad to hear there’s a lot of interest in Hanifin, he’s a very solid player.

If lundell isn’t part of the deal then this team is doomed for years to come.

Better be Lundell and Luostarinen as the main pieces coming back.

I don't think Duclair is worth much more than Smith

Duclair as anything other than a salary throw in would be a massive failure.

That's a funny way to spell Sam Bennett.

It's pretty much implied in the "as part of" statement. I suspect the other parts don't have a name so that's the clickable part of the tweet.

Hard to see what Florida could offer that would be appealing, especially compared to what other teams that are also rumoured to be interested in Hanifin could offer.

Also, if Duclair comes it better be as an added piece that helps with money not as bringing any value in the deal himself. Otherwise I just take whatever piece they would have included without Duclair. I don't see him having any value to the Flames at all that should have us giving up pieces to get.

I swear if we trade Hanifin for Duclair as the main piece I will riot.

Seems weird that Lebrun would mention Duclair in reference to the Flames wanting him if Duclair wasn't the centerpiece in return.

I think Duclair ends up on the Flames no matter what. I think either in what better be a good package for Hanifin or for a 3rd
