Superstar winger Johnny Gaudreau needs just one point either a goal or an apple will do to push his season total into triple digits. Theo Fleury was the last Flames skater to achieve that feat, and that was way back in 1992-93.

Goaltending has been a sore spot in Seattle during this expansion season, although thats not the only reason the Kraken are in the lottery instead of the playoff hunt. While Philipp Grubauer is going to post the worst stat-line of his career, hes hoping to finish 2021-22 on a positive note. He pitched a 29-save shutout Thursday against the Blackhawks in Chicago.
The No. 2 overall pick in last summer's NHL draft has completed his collegiate season, with Michigan losing to Denver in overtime of the semifinals of the NCAA's Frozen Four on Thursday night in Boston.
That means Beniers potentially could sign any day with the expansion Seattle Kraken, the team that drafted him, and be in their lineup as early as Saturday's home game against the Calgary Flames at Climate Pledge Arena.
The Kraken (23-42-6, 52 points) haven't come close to matching the exploits of the most recent expansion team -- the Vegas Golden Knights reached the Stanley Cup Final in their inaugural season -- but have played .500 hockey over their past 10 games (5-5-0).
Seattle is coming off a 2-0 victory Thursday at Chicago in which Philipp Grubauer made 29 saves for his second shutout of the season. Alex Wennberg and Jordan Eberle scored the goals.

I just want to see them play without any injuries.
I hope Vladar starts.
Playing against teams that haven't anything to play for really bother me as sometimes bad things happen .
I guess we pad our stats?
I just want the playoffs starting NOW dangit!!!
GFG
They should start Vladar again. He played great last game and this would give markstrom almost a full week off.
I am not sure that is a good thing. There is a fine balance to be struck between getting your goalie enough starts in the short-term to keep him sharp, and enough time off to keep him fresh. Too much on one side or the other upsets the balance.
Yesterday afternoon Eric Francis revealed that Darryl Sutter's maximum target number for Markstrom is 62 starts. This means he should get no more than six from here until the playoffs. At this point, the most important thing is probably to pace Markstrom with equal time in between starts before May.

Definitely.
However, there are 3 weeks left in the season. And our upcoming schedule is SEA, SEA, CHI. Great opportunity to give Markstrom some rest now, and then gear it back up to normal over the last half dozen games or so.
