Lagesson being jettisoned is fine... but for Kulak to cost a 2nd and there's NO retention then 5 minutes later Montreal retains cap value on a trade for Colorado tells me that MAYBE Holland got worked again...
Trade for a 3rd pairing Dman for.... a 3rd pairing dman and a 2nd round pick.
I’m not trying to sound dramatic, but he really isn’t a very good dman and his defensive abilities are tied to his skating ability. In his own end, he’s not good. He’s really not a player I have confidence in in a playoff game

Another fail by Holland, if this is the move your making to show your team that your going to “help” them for a playoff push then your better off keeping the assets and saving them for a real improvement. This management is so frustrating and this team is doomed with this old senile bastard at the helm.

Both of these players actually improve the Oilers. They don't move the dial much, but they are still better. I would put Brassard ahead of Kassian and Yamamoto on their depth chart and Oiler fans seem to have a high opinion of their worth.
Lagesson is just not good, like at all. There are very few teams in the NHL where he wouldn't be playing in the AHL. Kulak may be a bottom pairing guy, but he is at least effective at some aspects of the game.
