Thumbs up Darryl Sutter Interview on the FAN960

didn't know where to post this. Hope this is ok

Darryl was on the FAN for ~25 minutes this morning; very relaxed and different side of him compared to his quick post-game pressers. He always has great insight into the game, but also has some fun stories, like Chris Simon threatening to kill the Canucks if they touched Iggy

Thanks for sharing - listening now. Warrener is leaving the show? That's a big loss.

Darryl sounds like a big St. Patrick's Day guy. That's why he's in a good mood

Very interesting to hear his comment about the team's conditioning last year compared to this year

What were the comments?

Last years was #### conditioning?

This year is better?

No doubt conditioning is better. Sutter emphasizes it plus last year was pretty different for them.

Telling Rhett he'd take him to his veterinarian in Viking to fix up his shoulders was gold

I also liked his comment about the defensemen being soft in the goal area last year.

basically, he was "taken aback" by how they weren't conditioned to play the NHL game. Like seriously WTF, spend 80M on players and don't have anyone who keeps them in line.

I think he said that they weren't conditioned to play at the pace of the NHL game - which is probably the same thing. The level of pace that Darryl emphasizes is a marked difference in this team from the last few years to this year. It also explains why Darryl couldn't fully correct this team mid-season. However, I cannot understand how the previous coaches missed that fact.

I'd love that, but I'm sensing it's Carolina or Florida's turn (if they snag Giroux).

The Bolts just look.. tired?

The Canes are Flames-east. They're a threat.

Bolts are without Gourde, Johnston, Savard, Goodrow, Schenn and of course Coleman. They got a good deal thinner. It was bound to happen.
