I'm sure you got your answer from a professional, but just tossing this out there... in general just as a heads up, non-competes with unreasonable clauses, durations and restrictions can become unenforceable. If a non-compete feels a little unfair, it's definitely worth talking to a lawyer well versed in employment law to see whether you have an out, or if you're hooped.
