Default Flames enjoy early Toffoli returns as old team heads to town

The Canadiens are doing well lately but there's no doubt the Flames are the early winners in the deal.

I could see him putting the Flames over the top and making a run. Just in time for restrictions to come off, too. I'm a touch envious.

We'll see if the lifting of restrictions lasts until playoffs lol.

I need to see some playoff wins before I can fully buy in. But knowing what he did for the Habs in their run, and what Coleman did for the Lightning, I think we could be set up well, and have the difference makers and physicality to do some damage for a change. Just get in, and get in healthy. And then we'll see.

That first goal Saturday was massive, we have seen the Flames dominate like that in the past but miss golden opportunities and be down a goal. Tide turned quick when he put that one away.

floodgates!

Half his goals are EN, but he is showing poise and talent on the ice. Sutter was asked about him in the last post game and said he's a playoff performer but they are still trying to find out where to fit him into the lineup.

They recently built the Lucic-Monahan-Toffoli line made of his best friend from LA and roommate from Junior but I'm not sure if this will be an effective line long-term to best make use of his abilities. We'll see.

Don't underestimate EN goals. There's been many a times when it looked like Flames had a hard time scoring them, and for my blood pressure's sake, I wish it was easier for them to do so.

I hope Toffoli gets an empty netter every game!

And 16 more of them in the playoffs!

If you will. And two separate hooks on a breakaway isn’t a penalty.
