The Ducks are 7-3-3 against the rest of their division. Anaheim is 10th in the Western Conference, averaging 2.9 goals and 4.8 assists. In their last meeting on Dec. 3, Calgary won 4-3.
Ducks: 4-4-2, averaging 2.7 goals, 4.6 assists, 3.6 penalties and 9.3 penalty minutes while allowing 2.8 goals per game with a .919 save percentage.
Ducks rookie sensation Trevor Zegras is quickly becoming must-see TV. And if you’re in the seats Wednesday at the Saddledome, you’ll want to keep an eye on the kid in No. 46 for the out-of-town team. The 20-year-old Zegras notched arguably the best assist of the season — dubbed ‘The Dishigan’ — when he scooped the puck for a lacrosse-style pass to Sonny Milano for a batter-up finish.
THREE THINGS ABOUT THE OPPOSITION
1. The Ducks are rested but also rusty, having hit the ice for only one clash so far in the month of February — a hard-fought loss to the Seattle Kraken that snapped Anaheim’s six-game point-streak. Heading into their extended layoff, the Quack Pack was sitting second in the Pacific Division standings. They’ve now fallen into a wild-card spot.....
FIRST AND FOREMOST: The Flames have scored the game's first goal in 30 of 46 nights this year, and are 21-5-3 when doing so. They're also 21-9-4 when outshooting their opponent.
JOHNNY 'APPLE'-SEED: On Tuesday, Gaudreau recorded his 40th and 41st helpers of the season. He has now tied Gary Suter for the second-most 40-plus assist seasons, notching the seventh of his career. ... Gaudreau has also tied Joe Nieuwendyk and Suter for the fourth-most 60-plus point seasons by a player in franchise history (6). The three with more: Jarome Iginla (12), Al MacInnis (9) and Theo Fleury (9). Gaudreau currently leads the NHL in plus/minus at +37 this season.
FOUR THE WIN: The Flames have now scored at least four goals in each of their past six games going back to Feb. 1, which is the second-longest stretch in franchise history in the past 30 years (also 7 GP in 1992-93). … The most consecutive wins in franchise lore with four-or-more goals goes back to 1978 when the Flames were in Atlanta and strung together eight straight victories from Oct. 14 to 31.
The Flames are offering considerably more depth, and their ridiculously strong top line should give fits to any line match the Ducks can offer.
I would take this now and do not expect to see a better price. Play the Flames -1.5 down to +115. Pick: Calgary Flames -1.5 +140 (Play to +115)

Hate the stupid Ducks and their stupid jerseys and their stupid used to be hard to play in building and their stupid lucky win they got here at the start of the year.
#### the Ducks.

Anyone doing the PVR delay watch may want to record on SN360 as the Wild-Jets game likely goes beyond 7:30.
Hoping the team keeps rolling in what has been likely the best most enjoyable winning streak I can remember. Crushing opponents and adding a key new addition during.

Another back to back, but with a fresh Markstrom, this time. Flames haven’t had the best record against Pacific division opponents. I think they are 5-5-1 against teams in the Pacific, but that starts to change today. 9-2 win for the good guys.
These back to backs at home are bizarre, but I guess these are the rescheduled games from the Covid break?
Flames will likely be pretty bagged by the 3rd period, but at least we've got a fresh Markstrom tonight, which should help quite a bit. Just get the early lead and don't look back. Go Flames!

You think so? Minnesota has been crushing other teams, and Winnipeg is no good.
Anyhow, now that Cheese is doing GDTs again I am expecting the Flames luck to also catch up with them (not that they are riding the results of luck). Hopefully, not tonight.
GFG.

Totally agree. The Ducks certainly are one of the more annoying teams as they have always been a difficult opponent for the Flames. Losing to a Dallas Eakins coached team should never be an option.

Last night against Columbus every forward played at least 10 minutes and nobody exceeded 19.
Every defenseman played at least 18 minutes but nobody exceeded 21.
The final score helped, but Sutter really knows how to manage ice time in back to backs.
Meanwhile, in LA the new and improved Oilers with coaching savant Jay Woodcroft behind the bench skated the wonder-twins to 21:00 and 23:00. The more things change, the more they stay the same for Edmonton.
