Senators have an early 1-0 lead against the Capitals on a goal by Formenton

The lone western conference matchup had the Avalanche continuing their superb play by defeating the Stars 4-0.

The Senators sure surprised everyone as they defeated the Capitals 4-1. Ovechkin had one assist.

They are reeling badly. Yet, still 11 pts up on the 9th place team so PO's are still firmly in their grasp.

The Habs continue to lose despite a change behind the bench. They are winless in their past 10 games. The PP was 0/3. Tuch had 3 assists in addition to Skinner's offensive outburst of 4g, 1a. Nice to see the veteran Craig Anderson in net and get the win, he made 28 saves.

Landeskog with 2 goals, Kuemper makes 23 saves for the SHUTOUT, and the Avs PK was 3/3. Impressive streak as the Avs haven't lost in reg time in their past 10 games and they are #1 overall in the standings.

The Penguins squeak out a road win as Boyle scored the GWG 7 minutes into the 3rd period. Boyle and Matheson each had a goal and an assist in the win. Neither team scored on the PP.

The Senators showed some offense after not scoring in their previous 2 games. The Senators were 0/5 on the PP, but, good goaltending by Forsberg. who made 33 saves, was a big reason for the Sens win.
