Default February 10 with six games.

The Thursday OOT has a pair of western conference teams in action plus the coaching debut of Martin St. Louis.

Snively with a pair of goals, Schultz with a pair of assists, and the Capitals lead 4-1 in the second period. The new coach for the Habs makes no difference.

Of course he made a difference. He saved them from having to hire an Anglo, since the Habs had already fired all the francophone coaches at least once.

Jeff Carter's second period goal is holding up in the Penguins 1-0 lead now in the third period. DeSmith is working on the shutout.

The Avalanche lead 3-2 after forty minutes.
Good game here with Avalanche outshooting the Lightning 35-23 so far. Vasilevskiy is playing well in net.

The upset of the night for this OOT has the Devils defeating the Blues 7-4. That is an impressive road win. The Devils were losing 3-2 and scored three goals in the third period to take control and added two empty net goals.

The Avalanche continue to out play the Lightning as they control the tempo in the third period. The shots are 9-3 for Colorado.

The Hurricanes literally blew the Bruins out of the building by winning 6-0. Andersen with the 34 save SHUTOUT. Ullmark faced 43 shots in the loss. The Hurricanes special teams were the big reason they won by going 2/4 on the PP and 4/4 on the PK. Teravainen had 3 assists and Aho with 2 goals. Carolina is 2 points back of the Panthers for 1st place in the eastern conf.

DeSmith gets the SHUTOUT by stopping all 26 shots from the Senators. Murray also played well in the Sens net going against his former team. He made 40 saves. The Sens ran out of gas in the 3rd period as the Penguins had a 19-5 edge in shots.

The Devils' Hischier and Sharangovich each had 3 points in the win over the Blues. Neither team could score on the PP for a combined 0/7.

Will the Habs win a game? The Capitals score 2 goals in 20 seconds early in the game and then cruised to a 5-2 win. Primeau was pulled after letting in 4 goals. The Habs did have some positive energy as they fired 44 shots on Samsonov.

Jacks posted about the BJs come from behind OT win. The Sabres had a 3-1 lead early in the 3rd period and then blew it.

A decent write up on the Senators goalie Matt Murray facing the Penguins for the first time since he was traded from Pittsburgh.
