I do not understand why you would demote Ruzicka instead of waiving Ritchie, but ... whatever.

Mackey is more than deserving of a call-up. He's been the best Stockton defender all season.
Ruzicka I thought was doing well.

Actually it's because they couldn't send down Ritchie without having first waived him yesterday ... before they knew they needed space for Mackey.

Yeah plenty of guys need to be waived before sending Ruzicka down but he’ll be back up as soon as someone is
Cool to see Mackey up though, he’s been putting up a good year in the A

I'm working on the assumption they had to call up a defenseman. Ruzicka going down is to save cap.
They didn't have to send anyone down to being up someone.
