I remember going to the first game the year they opened against Pittsburgh at the Saddledome and Crosby scored a ridiculous goal, I think it was the 200th of his career.

But they haven't opened at home in quite a while. Here's the breakdown of the season openers since 09:

We're due...and if we do lose...at least beat someone up.

The year we went to the Cup Final with Darryl we stubbed our toe in game 1 to the Canucks 4-1.

We won 5 overtime games that year in the playoffs...and we slayed all the top seeds in the west until falling to the poor resolution of the Saddledome cameras.

This franchise has problems, but you can't quit before the miracle. Win or lose, I'm excited to get going for game one. Let the 2021 - 22 season begin, in Sutter we trust.

Monohan isn’t baby $€@* He’s not soft. I was just upset that this development system missed with Bennet. He was a top six center who could have been a pwf to boot. However here we are on the dawn of another season 2021-2022 Sean is a warrior but he’s got to evolve.

I like the depth. The defence has big time room to improve. OK is a top six player. Let him gain the confidence he needs because his skills are what this team lacks on the back end.

Valimaki needs a boost to his confidence big time. He looks pedestrian. I was really high on him only because we refused the stone trade. Due to jusso, the flames find themselves where they are. I like Coleman and this top six. The defenceman are where sutter needs to make his hay. We need evolution from Rasmussen and jusso. And any other soldier could stand to find the chops to play at this level competitively.
