Exclamation [Video] Rasmus Andersson's 2020/2021 Highlights

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qurYHzZ9NYc

This is a key year for Rasmus to show where he fits IMO. Tanev/Hanifin was such a good pair so you have to think Rasmus will be with Zadorov most likely?

In 56 games: 5 goals + 16 assists = 21 points, 68 blocks, 49 hits.

Videos made this off-season:
Andersson
Dube
Gaudreau
Giordano
Lindholm
Lucic
Mangiapane

Tkachuk is up next.

the best clip was seeing the Oilers $13.75M top defense pair stumble and blow their coverage at ~7:30. I love that you showed that goal 6 times from every possible angle

spoke too soon

the best clip was the Mavi neutral zone turnover at ~14:30. He then sees a Flames 2 on 1 developing, takes one stride then decides defending is too hard. Nurse steps up at the blueline and misses the hit and the puck, creating the 2 on 1, then Barrie defends by throwing his stick. Raisaitl coasts in at the end after the puck is in the net. That is what $35.75M buys you. Only problem is you only showed the goal 3 times, but I blame Sportsnet for not showing every possible angle

Thanks AC
I don't think we've seen the best yet of Raz . He's really come along nicely.
Under Sutter and Huska I think they squeeze more out and we see a Gioesque type of ascension.

He has a bomb for a shot, good wheels, big yapper and I love his mouthiness and willingness to engage in the right spots .
If he can make a Tanev type impact this year plus adding points who knows ....Norris one day?

No one could have ever predicted Scotty Bowman calling Gio the most improved player and then have him winning a Norris a few years later.....but he did it.

Huge props to him for taking his fitness and nutrition to the next level and becoming the player he has.

He's steady and constantly improving.

Thanks, AC! Great job pulling these plays out, so perfectly from the games. I really do think (hope) that #4 will take a step this year under Sutter.

Andersson has had only 3 seasons, and has increased his points every year (last year by a big margin). He struggled more defensively last year, but that came partly with an increase in tough assignments and his learning curve got steeper as a result. I'm surprised that so many people have written him off after a less than perfect season.
