True. If Buffalo sticks to their policy of asking for the top prospect/young player and wanting eastern teams to overpay because they want him out west… they’ll demand Caufield but I don’t think Montreal will be willing to do that after the start he has had to his career. Without including Caufield or Suzuki, I don’t think Montreal would necessarily outbid Calgary with prospects/players. Although they could have the added asset of Carolina’s first round pick… which would be an unprotected pick.
