Exclamation [Video] Milan Lucic's 2020/2021 Highlights

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ue5v-Q1Vp88

Honestly, Looch rocks and had a great year. Also, #### James Neal.

In 56 games: 10 goals + 13 assists = 23 points, 139 hits, 4-0 fight record.

Lindholm is up next.

Videos made this off-season:
Gaudreau
Giordano
Lucic
Mangiapane

Lucic still has a high hockey IQ IMO. His skills haven't kept up, that's all. and his GAF meter is near the top of the Flames.

Completely agree with this. Too bad we didn't get to have him on the Flames a decade ago. He is still pretty damn good though. Speed is the biggest issue he has and that's just age creeping in.

Thanks again AC, awesome work!

I think his straight line speed is fine when he gets going. It's the acceleration that looks bad.

Edit: Forgot to thank AC for yet another awesome video!

Tre should have just given him that horrible contract way back then instead of bargain binning with Brouwer lol.

I feel like our perception of Lucic would be very different had the Flames not traded Neal (almost the exact opposite player on another terrible contract) for him.

If they'd signed him back in 2016 I think he'd be hated here.

He will fill some of the leadership void this year I would guess with Giordano gone.

He actually has pretty good hands. As mentioned skating is his issue skillwise. But that’s not really the role he’s filling on the flames.

But he WAS traded for Neal. So that's the bar.

Lucic > Neal...

But they did trade Neal for him and there's nothing to indicate they would have signed Lucic in 2016 to the same contract. It's not a really useful hypothetical. It's like saying "if Treliving signed Lindholm to 11 million per year we wouldn't think he was so great".
