Calgarypuck Prospect Ranking 2021 - Round 17
Welcome to the annual Calgarypuck Prospect Poll!
As per usual ...
1. Rank the prospects as you like. Upside, chances, or trade value
2. I will try and do one a day which should get us to rookie camp range
3. Graduates and/or runoffs will be determined in each case
4. Please don't complain that the polls are going to deep. We go until all the prospects are ranked, so don't vote if you don't want to.

Still about 10 players left on the list that I consider interesting. That's interesting though, not players that are destined to make it, or top prospects ... just players that have that little something something in their game that projects.
Stayed with Cole Jordan for the second straight round.
But I think Gawdin needs to get selected at some time, haven't given up on Parsons yet, and I like Whynot as well (and a few others)

Gawdin time for me
Might never be more than a 4th liner, but he should see some NHL games

Went Gawdin but thought about the Russian goalie drafted last year

Cole Jordan, 6’2” D who was one of the best skaters in the draft. 10 pts in 23 games, as he didn’t get time on the top-pair with Daemon Hunt. I think he will put up big numbers this year.

Huckins.....hard to ignore a 6'3" C 3rd rd pick who will likely get a bit more leash than some others just based on his position.
See if he can crank up the offense a bit this season.

Cole Jordan again for me; Sandman is on to something with this prospect, betting he takes the biggest leap of all prospects for us come next years rankings.

Rory Kerins. He was invited to Canada's WJC camp! As a sixth-round pick!

I would be pretty amazed if he ever plays an NHL game. Who knows what Darryl might want, though. Eetu is a decent pro but he just doesn't have the necessary ability with the puck. He doesn't play with great pace when he has it and he almost exclusively carries it in basic straight-line routes.

I went with Solovyov. Flames brass thinks enough of him to ink him to a 3 year ELC, that works for me at this point I guess.

Although Gawdin will probably make the NHL this season, I'd question on how long he can stay up. I think Sovyov could be a 5 - 7 D for longee

I hope Gawdin is having best off season training to become Nhler. He have played with big team so he should know what he needs to do and how to improve.

Gawdin upside is a 4th liner, so I'm not voting for at this point. Huckins has some promise, but I'm going with the russian goalie who had the great year last season.

At the risk of being a sucker for an easy narrative, I'm pretty intrigued by Jack Beck. Reports that there were some expectations that he would have stepped into a bigger role last season had the OHL played and was thought to be a potential second rounder is interesting. Looks skilled and I'm excited to see how this season pans out for him.

Holy....Emilio finally went. 11 slots later than last year. I guess if u don't put up a ppg when turning pro it effects perception. Been voting for him so long I don't even know who is left on my list
