Default Toffoli Expectations

Couple questions on Toffoli I’d like to get some feelings about with 37 games left in the regular season.

How will the newest Flame fit?

Who will be his most common linemates? 1st or 2nd or 3rd line?
Will he get PP time? PP1 or PP2? Who loses their PP spot?
How many points does he score to end the year? He’s sitting at 26 in 37 so far.
Pick your number: Toffoli is the 3rd/4th/5th/6th/7th/8th etc best forward on the team.
Will his linemates see significant production bumps?
If they make the playoffs, how much does he contribute? Will he be top 5 in Flames scoring in the playoffs if they make it?

I think he gets around 53 points per 82 games during his time in Calgary. I predict that’s he’s a better than average playoff performer and has good advanced metrics.

How will the newest Flame fit? - Like a glove. I expect little to no transition time for him. He already knows the style and most of the team.

Who will be his most common linemates? 1st or 2nd or 3rd line? - I expect he'll start with Monny and Dubes, and then get time up on the top two lines as needed.

Will he get PP time? PP1 or PP2? Who loses their PP spot? I can see him slotting into PP2. Sorry Looch.

How many points does he score to end the year? He’s sitting at 26 in 37 so far. - I can see him get into a good grove. Lets say 50 points

Pick your number: Toffoli is the 3rd/4th/5th/6th/7th/8th etc best forward on the team. - 5th best. IMO

Will his linemates see significant production bumps? - Hell yeah. I expect him to IGNITE Monny and pull Dube along for the ride

If they make the playoffs, how much does he contribute? Will he be top 5 in Flames scoring in the playoffs if they make it? - WHEN they make the playoffs I think we'll see TT really set himself apart as a serious playoff performer. He's going to be essential to the Flames playoff success

He's a veteran player that's won championships, Stanley Cups and good guy by the sounds of it, (I don't know him). Plus the Darryl connection, I don't see how he could not only be a good fit but make everyone else better. For sure a good depth addition for the Flames.

It's going to make the Flames that much tougher to play and win against with a player of that caliber to the lineup we already have. He can score timely clutch goals.

We were talking about adding depth a few games ago when the Flames lost a couple close games and then Sutter goes and gets the D involved more the last couple games with more secondary scoring.

3rd line to start. Some 2nd line duty swapping with Coleman if 2nd line cools off.

Dube LW; centred by Monahan most of the time unless no uptick for those two. Ruzicka could end up centering him before end of season.

PP2 replacing a D man. Want him taking off wing cross ice shots. Doubt they drop Lucic, Backlund or Mang from PP2.

12-15 goals and 20-25 points for rest of season. Ignites 3rd line.

Playoffs: his track record speaks for itself.

I expect he is put on a line with Monahan and Dube mostly and also gets PP time and PK time as well.

I hope to see him finish the season at a 20 goal pace minimum, while continuing to be his usual defensively responsible self. If he does that while taking ice time from Ritchie and Lewis mostly, the team just got a huge shot in the arm.

Start him with Monahan and Dube at first but I could see him and Coleman swapping at some point or playing with Ruzicka and Looch. He gives PP2 a different look with a right shot, which could give that group a boost.

Well, I mean, depends this depends that but honestly it will just be incredible to have a reasonably balanced forward group. I want Mangiapane-Ruzicka-Toffoli by the end of the year but that's probably a stretch.

So so much depends on Monahan.

I'll say this. He won't bring what Brower or Neal brought here ...Thank goodness.
He didn't come from a team desperate to unload him....sounds like Hab fans are losing their S after this trade...lol.
Familiarity with Sutters system ...check
Familiar with allot of team mates....check
Good person.....check
Winning pedigree....check
Wants to be here....big check
Spoken highly of by virtually everyone I've seen, heard ....bonus check.

This is so refreshing that he fits almost perfectly and I couldn't be happier.

Adding him after Coleman, Vladar, Tanev and Markstrom whove all done well in short time here as leaders ....I feel like we're about to watch 37 more reg season games and 20 plus playoff games.
