Welcome to the annual Calgarypuck Prospect Poll!
As per usual ...
1. Rank the prospects as you like. Upside, chances, or trade value
2. I will try and do one a day which should get us to rookie camp range
3. Graduates and/or runoffs will be determined in each case
4. Please don't complain that the polls are going to deep. We go until all the prospects are ranked, so don't vote if you don't want to.

Vlader. NHL ready backup with incredible stats to support his play.

Vladar for me
I'm excited about Wolf and what he's done in junior, but we see it too often where our goalie prospects struggle to transition to the pro game
Vladar has already made the transition to pro, and he excelled in the AHL

It was a toss up between Wolf and Vlader, but because Vlader has the pro success under his belt he gets the edge. It's exciting the Flames have two quality goaltenders in their top prospects. Add Chechelev and there are three in their top twenty prospects and its becoming a bit of an organizational strength. That one trade really made a huge difference in filling in a big gap.

I went Wolf.
Happy to see that opinion change as the season gets going, but I just don't see it at this point.
Last year Scott Wheeler at the Athletic had Vlader 11th in Boston's rankings, and he had Wolf 5th in Calgary. Now while that isn't an apples to apples comparison but with the variance I think it says something.

Vladar has success as a pro, and also has the size of a typical NHL goalie so between he and Wolf I pick Vladar.

Wolf for me. Vlader has been good, but Wolf has been special. It's great to have two goalies in the conversation though, especially with one NHL ready.

I went with Stromgren. He's a fast skating big man which is exactly what this organization has been missing. Has the potential to be a fixture in the Flames top 6 and powerplay with his one timer.

I like Vladar, but I have to think Wolf has more trade value.

I chose Wolf. It was a tough decision. The Flames’ prospects seem like they’re getting better.

My next favorite forward
I know goalies are so unpredictable, but I like them both and a couple of the d-men before Stromgren

Boy tough choice. In my mind you have several choices:
The two goalies. One more proven, the other further away but putting up striking numbers.
You have the two recent 2nd rounders: Stromgren and Kuznetzov both in consideration.
Then you have Mackey who I think people are sleeping on, is a little older, and I would say could grab a roster spot this year.
Need to think on this.

Don't forget about Poirier as well, I think I even have him over Kuznetsov based on potential. He just had his best season and was over a PPG on defense

Poirier is intriguing because of that upside but needs a TON of work in his own end. For me he's in the next tier.

I like Wolf a lot, and Vladar seems to be a good pickup. But the voodoo of goalies has scorned me before. Went with Mackey as he's got a certain underrated-ness to his game in my opinion. I think he'll slide right in this year and become a full-time NHL'er.

Mackey would have had my vote right after Coronato .
He had a solid NHL 6 game exposure last year.
He had better be NHL ready as the Flames seem to be counting on him.
