Just like last expansion draft we will know before 6pm all the selections.

This one makes a lot of sense being a guy who can play center.

Because they are super cool and special to be the first person to share insider knowledge.

I remember now this happened with VGK too. I completely skipped the "reveal" show that night because I knew all the picks already. Looks like I'm going to free up some time again tonight.

I mean, leaks are going to happen regardless of whether we want them or not. With that said these insiders have been doormant for so long that any information they can "CRACK" leading up to the reveal gives them he hits/views they work hard for.

If you don't want to spoil it just stay off cpuck/twitter etc for the day and then the show will be a true reveal, worse ways to spend the day thats for sure.

It sucks I agree, but everytime I see someone post a leak I picture Dredger foaming at the mouth on TRADE BREAKERS just itching to be "THE GUY" of the show.

Bottom line is...it's their job to do so.

Kinda sucks but it is what it is.

If they dont break the news, someone else will.

What did TB give to make sure Seattle picked Gourde rather than Foote?

Another surprising pick when you had Cal Foote available. Francis doesn't appear to be going long-term and is instead focusing on icing the best team he can this season.

I suspect probably nothing, as Gourde is one of the Bolts' most impactful players.

Realistically, Gourde is the best player they could pick from Tampa. In a top 6 role he's going to produce a lot. Perfect example of a guy who is ready to thrive given the opportunity, which is what made Vegas immediately successful.

Low key one of the best players on their team.

Technically Palat, who had 46 points in 55 games, had the most points out of everyone exposed to Seattle.
He was just barely edged by Point as the most productive player on the team.

But Gourde is a year younger and has much more term left.

Also, Gourde is a centre. Very few good ones were available in this draft (far more good defencemen for grabs). Gotta take them when they become available.

This was the single biggest no-brainer of the draft other than the local boy angle that Tyler Johnson would have provided.

Gourde is a hell of a player.

Killorn > Gourde. IMO.

Foote is also ok but Seattle is taking the Vegas path and it will likely pay off.

There was no way they were taken Johnson unless Tampa added a first round pick or two.
