Off-season Flames predictions thread

So with the expansion draft, NHL entry draft, and free agency all coming up in the next 10 days, I thought it might be fun to make some predictions (bold or realistic) on what the Flames might do. See if anybody hits the nail on the head.

No format, no rules, no points. Just for fun and discussion.


Taken in the expansion draft -> Mark Giordano

What happens with the Flames 1st rounder -> they trade down and select Fyodor Svechkov

A free agent the Flames sign -> Taylor Hall, Joel Armia and Alex Edler

A player the Flames trade -> Matthew Tkachuk to St. Louis for Kyrou, Dunn, Neighbors


I'm also going to predict Eichel gets traded to Vegas because they are a bane on my fandom.

I was wondering about Gustafsson too. Not sure they are going to want a Hanifin/Andersson/Valimaki rotation again after last year.

Yeah seems like we came up to a pretty similar take in regards to players the Flames might target. Which probably means we're both way off. A PP quarterback is a huge hole for the Flames. I don't see Hamilton, Barrie or even Martinez signing here. I am not a fan of Yandle, and I was told that DeAngelo is not someone the Flames should have around. That left me either a trade or hoping for someone like Gustafsson for $1.5-1.75M. That said. I think he will end up scratched playing for Sutter...
