The man, the myth, the legend.... 44 years young today
Flames.com released this video...i think it's the same one that ran on retirement night.
Enjoy.

Being the same age as Iggy, I refuse to believe it too.

The reason I followed the Flames when the Jets left... couldn't get behind any team until I saw him play in the 02 Olympics and became a fan. Outside of the 04 run my favourite memory is Sid yelling out "Iggy, Iggy" as he setup the golden goal.

In my alternate reality the goal counted and Gary Bettman asked Jarome Iginla to come and get the Stanley Cup.

Aside from being a great player, absolute warrior and by all accounts, an equally quality human being, he may be the most important figure in Flames history. He entered the scene at a dark time in franchise history, and by his play and commitment added a large measure of relevance to the team, and indirectly the city. As fans we were fortunate to witness his best years. He deserves a mountain of respect. One of a kind.

Drool.
Would have been a wicked combination.

Retire 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, and 96. Every multiple of 12 belongs to Iggy.

Iginla actually wore #24. The Flames should retire #24.

All I can get
And retire his locker stall. Rope it off and make it a shrine.
All future Flames backup goaltenders can sit on an upturned garbage can.

GOAT!
I'll never forgive the NHL for not naming him to the 100 list, and the Montreal press can forever eat a giant D for stealing the Hart from him.
