Jets in 6, with the Jets blowing the oilers doors off in game 6.

I recall Canuck fans predicting a sweep of the Flames in 2004 because they had owned us during the season. It is my greatest hope this will be repeated and the greaseballs go home to try and figure out how the greatest team in the history of the world could actually lose.

On the one hand, I hope the Jets play mean so the Oilers become worn down.
On the other hand, the Jets are notoriously undisciplined, and you don't want the Oilers to get PP chances.

A lot depends on the health of the Jets...sure they sucked down the stretch. Most teams would.without their best forward.

And don't forget they have progressed a lot further in the playoffs more recently than the Oilers.

I have just recently discovered a surprisingly strong desire to see the Jets succeed in one round of the playoffs.

Too bad the North division playoffs didn't start last weekend too. Then the Flames would still play as long as the Oilers.

Still a chance the Flames get a win later in the season than the Oilers

Hoping for a Jets win obviously. However with McD having likely a career season to remember, if ever there was a time for him to take it to the next gear during the post season, this is it. I'll be watching this series just to keep an eye on him and see if he can truly take it to the next gear, or if he's simply a regular season wonder.

Ultimately I think it will come down to how McDrai plays, how Smith plays vs Hellebuyck, and if the Jets' best players show up.

The number of powerplays awarded to the Oilers will be a big factor in the outcome.

At least the 50/50s will be worth watching.

I think the Oilers are going to win this series in 5 or 6 games. If there ever was a team that you cannot depend on to take care of business, it's the Jets. Their defense fell back to earth in the 2nd half of the season as it's easily the worst defensive group of all the playoff teams.

If Copp, Ehlers, and PLD are out tonight this is gonna be a slaughter fest. Anyone looking to make easy money put it on the Oilers tonight (If all of them are out)

Meh. This allegedly uber talented team is just two players and haven't changed enough from last year where they couldn't make a series out of it against a Blackhawks team that was a shell of their former selves.

The media always seems to think the Oilers are more than they are.

They aren't.

They might get by the Jets, but I doubt it will be a sweep and I doubt it will be easy. After that? Any team they face will put the boots to them.
