Do or Die, Again: MTL vs CGY, 5pm, SNW, SNE, CityTV
A win last night kept the faint hopes alive, need another one today, and another one on Monday to keep the door open.
The players have to know this by now so I expect to see everything left out there on the ice tonight.
Go flames!

Markstrom wasn't super busy last night and found his game after the first period last night so hopefully he plays strong tonight.
Wonder if Allen will play again for the Habs? He was busy and really kept last night from being a blowout. He has to be more tired than Markstrom at this point.

A win tonight means at least 1 more meaningful game. I’ll take games that mean something in April any year!

Hope we see the same Habs team that came out battered and bruised against the Sens after our meeting in Montreal where they laid an absolute egg.

My face is a bum!

What's the best case if this franchise loses a bunch. Draft another Bennett? May as well cheer for the win and enjoy it on the off chance they don't disappoint the crap out of us again.

Hard to know with this draft. And I know there is a benefit to getting the highest pick as possible, but my view is there isn't a ton of difference in the top 10 or so, and even less certainty given the craziness this year.
Whoever the Flames draft will likely be the best prospect they have. However, I don't see a lot of franchise changing potential in this draft. Stars will emerge, but the top end is pretty weak overall.
The next two years are the ones to tank as that's where there is franchise changing possibilities.
This year the difference between drafting say 6th overall v. 10th - is in my opinion pretty trivial.

I’ve not liked the Saddledome ice all year. But I can’t see how better ice helps the Habs of all teams.

I feel the ice has been pretty weak in general the past several seasons. I wonder if it's a case of the arena/equipment not being that great anymore, and the team is holding off until the new arena to invest into having better ice. Edmonton's ice is considered one of the best I believe to players, so it shouldn't really be a climate issue thing. But I think Edmonton's ice has been considered top even in their old arena.
