Flyers love him. Very versatile player, being able to play all three forward positions and PK. Was gonna be a UFA. Rumor was that he was going to be traded to Toronto, then re-sign in PHI in the offseason. Toronto goes with Foligno, so I guess PHI just signs him now.
Flyers drafted him in the first round expecting him to be a goal scorer. His offense didn't translate to the NHL level, but he's turned out to be a great middle 6 forward. He's 26, and at 3M, I can't see the Flyers being disappointed even at the end of the contract. He's no Dale Weise.
Fun Fact: He was the captain of Canada's 2014 WJC team
