[Trade] Hawks reacquire Hinostroza from Panthers

TRADE: The Blackhawks have reacquired Bartlett-native Vinnie Hinostroza from the Panthers in exchange for 24-year-old Rockford forward Brad Morrison (whom they acquired from the Kings for Olli Maatta). Hinostroza had no points in nine games for Joel Quenneville's Panthers.

Vinnie Hinostroza is on an expiring contract carrying a $1-million cap hit. The Blackhawks originally sent him to Arizona in the Marian Hossa deal, and he had 16 goals in his first season with the Coyotes. He's fallen off since, and has been a frequent healthy scratch in Florida.

He's been really, really useless in Florida. I had hopes for him as a speedy winger who could pot a few goals from the bottom 2 lines. He's done pretty much nothing the entire time. Glad to move him out.

I think the 'Hawks view Hinostroza as a replacement for Andrew Shaw level of "grit". I think Bowman is garbage, and should have been the one fired, instead of Q.
