Flames Toronto Maple Leafs @ Calgary Flames 7p.m (MDT) SNW

Times are tough, the team is flailing. But it's still game day.
Hopefully we don't see Jack Campbell in net.
This is the must win game of the year to keep playoff hopes alive. We all know what the outcome is going to be but let's see if there's some fight left in the team.

Go Flames.

Looking forward to two straight losses today and tomorrow. Better draft pick and more likely to remove any doubt at the deadline to be sellers.

Don't disappoint me now, Flames.

I believe Hutchinson has already been confirmed to start for the Leafs. Let's hope the Flames don't make him look like a Vezina candidate.

8-1 Leafs. Looch will score the lone Flames goal.

Back to back games vs the Leafs and then what will most likely be a 7 day break
Maybe enough time for Sutter to work some magic?

We have 5 games vs Montreal this month. Slim chance but it's not over yet.

Hard not to forget that even with the playoff hopes all but gone this is an evaluation period for Sutter and Tre to figure out who wants to be here, who can hang here with the style Sutter wants and who needs to go.

Pretty sure they have already figured that out. With no pressure of playoffs , a guy like Johnny or Mony going on a scoring streak shouldn’t change their minds. Look no further than when joe colbourne racked up a bunch of points when the games were meaningless.

The Habs laying over for the Sens gave us minimal hope but if they do start skidding and we manage to string some together here there is the thinnest glimmer of hope. Win tonight please and thank you.

Team will have to play well because we probably lose the goaltending battle.

With this being a back to back and given his poor outings I would think Markstrom sits tonight and Rittich gets the call.

Lol. I bet this is where their big "charge" starts.

It is kind of a win-win: I like watching hockey and I love it when the Flames win, but if they lose I am also pretty happy about an improved draft position.

Aside from the d men in the draft there's some really intriguing forwards too.

Yup.

Seeing some kids hopefully come up from the heat will also make it more fun to watch in spite of the net game result.
