Flames Flames @ Canucks, 8:30 PM MST. Sportsnet West/360, Fan 960

Off to the West Coast tonight, as the Flames hunt for the elusive win. We shall see what's in store.

Our Hero decides to take a short harbour cruise before the game, where trouble (naturally) finds him again. Can his boundless energy get him out of another scrape? Will it inspire the boys to victory?

Spoiler!

Go Flames

Wins or losses don't really matter at this point for me.

I'd rather they just completely fall off so that there's no ambiguity about this core, and perhaps allowing some kids to come up from Stockton to see how they do. That's more interesting than waiting for this team pretending they are chasing a playoff spot.

Loser of this game is officially the 6th place team in the division. If you would have told me early January that the Flames were going to finish 6th in this division I would have bet you a lot of money as I would have been so confident in them finishing higher. It's stunning that the season has derailed as it has.

Of the 19 games remaining, 9 are against the Habs and Canucks. I think you pretty much need to win all 9 games. Or go something like 7-1-1, 8-1-0.

In other words, HUGE game tonight. It may not even matter though as Montreal is in the drivers seat here on out. The Flames have made this ####ty bed and now have to lay down in it.

Just crush the Canucks and go from there.

4-1 Flames, Bennett, Monahan, Lindholm, Tkachuk.

At the start of the season, I really thought the Flames could have finished anywhere from first to sixth. If we're honest with ourselves, the trend line for this club since the peak of Peters' first season has been downward and the other clubs all had some unpredictable elements to them.

But it's shocking to see this unfurl. And such a shame, because the division was there for the taking.

At this point I'm having a very hard time liking this team. The players just seem so disengaged. I can't remember a time in Flames history where there wasn't a single player I was cheering for, but that's where I am with this group.

It’s not possible with the team as it’s assembled. Only slower...

I've got football practice tonight in a Covid environment, that's more fun then watching the Flames right now.

Honestly, if they can somehow get the heads out of their collective rear ends and win these games against Montreal and Vancouver they will make the playoffs.

It starts tonight! Let's go!

LOL, I'm expecting another low event game. The key will be not letting every chance they give up end up in the back of the net.

They eke out a 2-1 win and keep a sliver of hope alive.

I am with you in this feeling. This is not a hard-working team

I am expecting a win, a slight run on remaining games, and missing playoffs by around 4 points. We draft top 10 (no one particularly useful) rinse and repeat.

Seen this movie before.
