Default I Was Cabbie's Cabbie

So... to make a long story that all my friends and co-workers got... short...

I went to a late movie Thursday night with a buddy of mine, when I saw THE SCORE'S Cabbie, from "Cabbie on the street". He was at a pay phone and was searching for something. I went up to him, introduced myself as a huge fan, and asked if he was looking for a Taxi. He asked me if I knew of a number, and I said no... but I asked him where he was staying. After convincing him that I wasn't a stocker, or that I wasn't mentaly disturbed, him, his man "D", and some lady friends followed me to my car, we talked about my job in radio, local sports, differences between Calgary and Toronto, and the lot. He said he was in town doing a piece on Olympic hopefuls. He was staying at the Hawthorne downtown.

I couldn't believe it, but I guss that's the type of guy I am.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

That is awesome. I think Cabbie is so funny. Has anyone ever watched his 'Cabbie on the Street' when he tried to skate and play hockey? (You can watch it on the scores website) Its pretty funny as he is can't skate well at all.

As is often the case, that guy wouldn't get nearly the number of 'groupies' if he didn't have a camera in his face. But good on him.

I've always enjoyed his bits on TV, they're light and not-so-serious. Pretty humorous too.

Is that the one where he says: "It's time to get my Jarome on"?
