First period was good, but still not a 60 minute game. Flames let them hang around too long, and shot themselves in the foot a few too many times. Can't be doing that with McAvi on the other side.
Sutter has some work to do.

I had a feeling after the 1st period that this was going to be one of those games where they play well and still lose.
Bright side: that's often the case for slumping teams just before they start stringing a few wins together.

YOu have to make Smith move. They did on the powerplay goal. The second was a good shot through traffic (also missing most of the night).
I liked the hustle for the most part but you can tell they aren’t used to it.
