The Rangers and Capitals scored three goals in 97 seconds towards the end of the second period. Orlov scored with three seconds left in the period to start the potential comeback as the Rangers lead 3-1 after forty minutes.

It's too bad the Avalanche didn't keep the Nordiques color scheme. I quite liked the Nordiques jerseys when they were in the league. I'm looking forward to seeing those more than anything in this game today.

Okay, gonna boast a little here, so bear with me.

The Florida Panthers are 2nd in the entire league with 3 games in hand on the leader. They are 1st in the entire league in point percentage at 0.800%.

This comes after a complete overhaul to their forward group yet they're still scoring in bunches. Still not getting great goaltending, and they aren't going to be confused with a Trotz coached team in terms of defense, but they're no longer bleeding goals like they were last year. Mid to low teens for defensive numbers.

It's been a while since I could hold my head high cheering for this team. Let's hope they've actually turned the corner as a franchise.

That’s the best looking outdoor setting they have ever been able to put together. Gorgeous

It's weird seeing the big shadows from the players.

I think the NHL could have easily done something like this in Kananaskis or Lake Louise. What a showcase it would have been for Alberta.

I'm surprised to see they put up the rink east-west. That could really suck for the AVS goalie as he has to look into the sun to make saves for 2 periods.

Hilarious people walking around on pathways nearby like this is a kids game on an outdoor rink.

Kananaskis probably, Lake Louise no chance Parks Canada allows anything like that.

Footprint a lot smaller than World Cup ski races at Louise.

But ya the royalty that is Parks Canada would probably give the big FU.

Would be nice if Sportsnet would broadcast their 4k channel in 4k

It looks like the ice at Lake Tahoe is going to be pretty brutal in the latter parts of the game.

The picture quality on the NBC broadcast of the outdoor game at Tahoe is incredible. As is the PBP and the color. Sportsnet is amateur garbage and should be ashamed of the product they put on the air.
