Dallas game postponed because of winter storm.
Quote:
The Dallas Stars postponed their home game Monday night against the Nashville Predators after a request from city officials not to play because of the impact extreme winter weather had on the area.
With significant power outages in North Texas and throughout the state, the NHL said the decision to postpone the game was made by the teams, on-ice officials and the league upon the advice of Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson.
The NHL didn't announce the postponement until about a half-hour before the scheduled start of the game. There was power at the American Airlines Center at the time.

Man watching Fla play TB. Fla looks like a fun team to watch. Do we have a player that can take it end to end. Their speed is ridiculous, fun and entertaining. Just in time to watch the turtle squad. I digress

They are completely without power. Their turbines weren’t built for it.

Nor were their houses, city crews, supplies, clothing... Pretty cheap to make fun of people who are legitimately struggling because we live in Canada and everything is designed to deal with that sort of weather.

No they are not completely without power, there's rolling blackouts to avoid overloading the grid however. That is why the game was canceled, in order to conserve. The arena had full power at the time the puck would have been dropped.

Sens making a charge at a comeback. If they can start winning some games that’d be great. Just need some better than peewee level goaltending first.

I’d rather they waited until after playing the Flames a few times.

"ThAt'S wHeRe LaInE wOuLd Be!"
Oiler's PBP guy mockingly pointing out it was Scheifele shooting from left point as opposed to the now traded Laine.... right before Scheifele scored.

Imagine mocking Scheifele’s shot. He has a great shot.

"Well, you know, Scheifele is normally a passer so Smith wasn't quite ready for the obvious one timer that was coming obviously."
I don't think that makes it better, bud.
Edit - WTB a TSN feed for the love of Christ. This PBP guy is still unlistenable.
