Default Winnipeg (7-3-1) @ Calgary (5-5-1) — SNW/TSN3 and SN960

So, it is after 0900 PT, and there is no game day thread yet. How disappointing.

Calgary looks to avenge a frustrating three-game set in Winnipeg by holding court at the Saddledome tonight. Coming off of a solid win over their blue-haired, entitled provincial step-sister that puts the Flames at 3-2-0 at home, they look to improve on this number before embarking on eight of their next ten on the road.

Tonight, they welcome the new-look Winnipeg Jets, who are expected to have Pierre-Luc Dubois in the lineup for the first time this season. This also marks the first time the Jets have left Winnipeg since 21 February, and only the second time they have had to travel this season. After enjoying eight of their first eleven games at home the Jets will test their mettle to see if they can notch a road-win against a team outside of Ottawa. They will be tasked with doing so in a building in which they have only a single S/O win since 2014 (1-6-0).

The practice lines from yesterday were the same as from Saturday's game:

Tkachuk · Lindholm · Dube
Gaudreau · Monahan · Bennett
Lucic · Backlund · Mangiapane
Nordstrom · Froese · Leivo

Giordano · Andersson
Hanifin · Tanev
Valimaki · Nesterov

Markstrom is likely to get the start. Derek Ryan remains on LTIR, and there is a possibility of Brent Ritchie or Dominic Simon drawing in for someone on the fourth line.

Winnipeg will play some guys and they will all look awful. Paul Maurice will probably cry again.

GFG

Everyone in Calgary was collectively frozen to a pole outside and we couldn't reach our phones to post a GDT.

It's the battle of Hoth today, and we will Strike Back!

Why are you complaining about the commentators when the game hasn’t even started yet?

I have to admit it's kind of hard to get up for another game against the Jets. It is an important game though as the Flames need to start accumulating wins against the Jets if they plan on finishing higher than 4th in the division.

Ugh... late start tonight.

Why do that when it’s not a Saturday?

I'd like to see Ward leave the top 3 lines from last game alone for a few games. The 4th line needs some shuffling. I don't think Rinaldo needs to dress again.

Hope last game gives the boys a little confidence, and for hecks sake, please don't come out flat in the 1st yet again.

Will be interesting to see if the Gaudreau-Monahan-Bennett line can pick up their play, they got way outshot and hemmed in their zone for most of their shifts. Backlund had more shots than the three of them combined while checking McDavid.

I know Bennett scored a goal so some people believe he had some great game but if you look at the underlying stats it's simply not true. Even with 2 goals scored in the 3rd, that line got buried all night.

Would like to see Robinson draw in to the lineup. He seems to bring a ton of speed and aggressive forecheck to the fourth line.

We likely face Dubois tonight.

Hoping we chase Hellebuyck tonight. I like when he throws a tantrum and smashes his stick.

The McDavid line is a minus line that bleeds chances against. Any line that faces them will likely come out with some positive stats and points.

He had a hat-trick in Calgary in his second game v. the Flames.

Since then, he has no goals and one point in four games, and a minus-4 rating.

Maybe if the Flames can put more effort than 30-35 mins per game we can do it too.

With the weather in Calgary, the Jets may get confused and think this is a home game.
