Tkachuk sent packing
The Minnesota Wild are pleased to announce the acquisition of Marco Sturm and Alexei Zhamnov in exchange for Keith "My Mom Doesn't Think I"m Fat" Tkachuk, Trevor Letowski, prospect Matt Pelech and a 2007 2nd rounder.
GM Grant Farhall commented on the deal.
"Marco and Alexei are both capable of playing top 6 minutes for us which gives us a great deal of depth up front and a lot of different options to try. This deal also allowed us to free up enough cash to recall Milan Michalek who we think is good enough to play at the CPHL level."
To make room for Michalek the Wild returned Lee Stempniak to Houston of the AHL.
