Gonna be rough for the three Western Canadian teams, if they want to get players up from their AHL squad. Taxi squad helps for sure

Tre said Stockton call-ups (or trades from US teams) will need 8 days in quarantine, and 4 negative Covid tests (tested on day 1, 3, 5 and 7)

not sure if this is a dumb question... but what happens to the players on the 3 teams that are opting out?? i assume they get "loaned" to other teams for the season?

Yeah. St. Louis already announced they have an agreement with Utica to loan them players.

I could see the Western Canadian team affiliates as natural homes for these players as due to quarantine rules, they're more likely to have their most impactful prospects on the taxi squad.

Will California be even close to ready to open up for sports by February? That seems a touch optimistic with what is going on there.
