When you consider that it is only $500k per year more than what Cirelli got, it's a great deal for Columbus. Or what we paid Tkachuk. Not that I think either of those are terrible deals.
I thought he would get a similar deal to what Monahan or Gaudreau got on a long term deal.
Dubois is only the 6th highest paid player in Columbus (as he would be here on that contract). From that perspective, it's a pretty good deal. When Tkachuk signed his deal, he was averaging about 0.1 more points per game. That got him 40% more money and made him the highest paid player on the team.

I found out myself. It’s now 120% of the AAV after the summer changes. So in this case it’d be $6M, not $6.65M

He is worth what he got...team he plays for is irrelevant. Some people just seem to always over hype certain players. His career high is 61 points until it's not.
1M per 10 points is the going rate give or take
