There's no way it was for the full 6 years I'd think. I can't find it anywhere though.

It would make sense to be the entire length. Doesn’t really matter in this situation for the Flames, especially if it helped attract him.

- They are only going to be interested in moving him if he isn’t performing
- what team would want a $6mil goalie if they aren’t performing?
- so, there is no value to be gained in a trade
- take whatever you can get if you have to move him, there would be no bidding wars to be had.
