Sutter should win this round handily. I honestly don’t know who I would vote for next. Probably Burke, though under Feaster we did have a few key acquisitions.

Burke is tricky as his tenure was so short. But he did seem to bring some credibility back to the organization.
But yeah this is where it gets interesting. The most fascinating debate will be the final one - Button v. Riser.
Fletcher: 20 years
Sutter: 7.5 years (includes one lost season)
Treliving: 6+ years
Coates; 4.5 years
Feaster: 3 years
Of the all time Flames team voted by CP, here are the number of players inherited by each GM.
Risebrough: 8
Feaster: 6
Burke and Treliving: 4
Coates: 3
Sutter and Button: 2
Fletcher: zero
Based on all things considered, with an emphasis on measuring success on the ice, my GM rankings are:
Fletcher
Sutter (distant second)
Coates and Treliving (tied for distant third)
All horrible after that (with Burke excluded). It's no longer a best of discussion at that point.
Although I will say this about Feaster. In three years he had some good draft results. Still responsible for 2/3 of club's current top line (apologies to Tkachuk line). And getting Kris Russell for a 5th round pick? Biggest trade theft in team history since Kipper. He also salvaged the Erixon fiasco nicely.

The above post really illustrates just how poor the Flames management has been since Fletcher left. Poor management decisions, bad teams with only a few bright spots sprinkled in. It's kind of depressing really.
