Yes this is a pretty balanced deal for an unbalanced rookie!

I have to vote no. Sorry boys. I think Huberdeau is better than that return.

I'd think the gap is more than a 4th (late NHL 3rd) with these two. Who-ber-due had 31 more points last year and almost 50 more in the last 2 seasons...

I'd think the gap is a mid/late 2nd, but maybe that's just me.

I think selling high on Huberdeau is smart and Landeskog brings a lot more.

Montreal wins the trade but not completely one sided so I vote YES.

We like Huberdeau and wanted to add offensive flair to the top line. Landeskog has better all around and OV rating but we want to try to be a high scoring team.

I think it's a win for Montreal, as Huberdeau will likely re-rate higher based on production. But Landeskog is a great player so it's not like Cap is moving him for an aging vet or anything.

Win for Montreal, especially with the youth movement in this league lately. Close enough where it'll get put through but realistically Montreal should have added more!

This was a tough move for me to make because I like Huberdeau. However when I looked at the Blues and saw the UFA's come off, I saw that I didn't have much on the Left side, while I had Mark Stone on the right side. I was in a cap crunch with a lot of RFA's, and Gabriel's next contract should be in more of a mid range then high range.

Its a gamble but when I looked at the player ratings they were pretty close, but there were things that I really valued in Landeskog.

This deal allows me to at least add something potent to the left side, and I really like the matchup of Eichel, Landeskog and Stone as a decent top line.

I also picked up a pick, that will help considering that I don't have that many picks over the next couple of years.

This could be a bit of a win for Montreal, I grant that, but I balance that off with it fitting a need with a player that I like.

For the Habs we looked at Huber and his overall attributes outside scoring were not wonderful. He has 92 points and was still rated 3ov lower overall than Landy.

Landy is a much stronger player defensively and checking wise. But we wanted scoring. I hated not being able to score last season. So I am hoping to build a different dynamic and create offence even if it sacrifices D.

Last season in Pittsburgh we had the fewest goals allowed in the CPHL. This season my goal is to score. That is why we targeted Point and Huber. Both sacrifice other areas to score lots of points.
