Brendan Leipsic's Instagram

Surprised this hasn't made the rounds on here yet.

Guy made some repulsive comments in a hacked Instagram conversation towards current and former teammates, women and there is even some race stuff there. You can find the screenshots if you want but I won't post any links to them.

This guy has a better chance of playing for Bill Peter's than he does ever seeing an NHL rink again.

I saw that. Pretty degrading stuff. He called Garnet Hathaway a loser, which, in addition to being rude, is just not true: Hathaway is one of the nicest guys I've ever met in hockey.

And going after Pearson’s wife after she just gave birth is absolutely disgusting. I hope this piece of garbage loses his job.

I know a couple guys who know Leipsic, and they've always said there's a reason he's been tossed around the league. He's been hated by almost every locker room he's been apart of, so I wasn't surprised to see this

He's only 25 and since being drafted by Nashville, he's played for the Leafs, Knights, Canucks, Kings and the Capitals

Trash talks his current teammates, his former teammates, their wives, other players' girlfriends (including McDavid's), while being racist and extremely misogynist.

Safe bet is he's playing in Europe next season.

Leipsic was not a popular guy to begin with so this doesn't change much really. His time in this league is limited regardless

So many hockey guys are like this. I didn't grow up in the Instagram days but I've heard 16 year olds talk like this without coaches telling them anything. The guy is done for with such a toxic mouth, but what do you expect when growing up there are no repercussions for your words and everyone bows down to you? Anyway, he should know better with those comments about ladies specifically - pretty degrading. I hope he feels embarrassed.

Sports culture in general is like this. Guys that are treated as kings and alpha males, ultimate competitors, and got girls lining up to be around them? When you mix that in with lack of emotional intelligence, you get those type of convos on the regular.

He's one to get burned for this since it's public, but best believe that many other players in the league that are talking the same way.

I don't disagree, but I think this guy is a stand-out. Again, there's a reason he's been on 6 teams in his short career, and I've heard it's pretty well known around the league that this guy's a loser

A lot of the toxic hockey "Bros" have a very tough time making it out of junior, the NHL weeds a lot of it out. I'm not going to say it doesn't exist in the NHL, but it's not nearly as prevalent as it used to be, or is in the lower level leagues.

Looking at the messages, the other guys involved are all failed pros, or guys who never made it pro, and I suspect a lot of that has to do with being part of that negative "hockey culture". Leipsic is lucky he's somehow made it his far, I think his pro career is over

That's true that his personality being showcased there shows that he isn't long for the league in general. Those who stick around for the long haul, are probably more focused on their game, than Leipsic is on his "takedowns" and dissing his own teammates.

Back when I played there was an average of 2-3 ######'s on every team, but everyone else was just normal.

Yep.
Just have to listen to Spittin' Chiclets. Biz Nasty is always talking about his "kills". Not much of a stretch to imagine him having a similar conversation.

Even playing beer league with guys who played in the CHL or AJHL, the locker room talk isn't that different. Maybe less racist, but certainly just as misogynist

The stuff about teammates like Virtanen and his linemates honestly just sounds like the kind of #### you talk to buddies, honestly. Doesn't read to me as meanspirited. Some of the other stuff is... yeah, not a good look.
