Picked Warrener, felt like picking Fata for his presence on this board!

yep Rhett Warrener, not the most talented guy (although a better player than he lets on) but the right kind of D for that era , called into top 4 duty for the run that captured the fans attention
2nd might be Rob Niedermayer, but I refuse to go there so throw out a mention for Hoglund who scored 19 when both he and Iggy were rookies
interestingly both Hoglund and Niedermayer were involved in Val Bure transactions

Hey! I think his mom and her neighbourhood feed the entire team and staff over Thanksgiving once!
Nothing wrong with that. Seems like a stand-up gentleman.

Warrener was a bit of an odd duck. I recall back in 2004 when there would be a big OT goal he wouldn’t rush off the bench to join the scrum, he seemed to like watching the boys celebrating from a distance almost like a proud parent.

Aaron Johnson was traded for Steve Staios, so that's something.
Anyway this is Rhett 100%.

Ran into him at the Denver airport once, both of us flying to Calgary... definitely willing to talk to fans, and answer my stupid questions...
Didn't vote for him though.

Unfortunately, this is from the early days of YouTube, so the quality is crap, but this is my favourite Warrener memory...
VIDEO
It's even more impressive in my memory because I was sitting behind the Canucks' goal, so, from the angle I had, it looked like Bert's helmet popped straight up in the air after Rhett crunched him. It was like something out of a cartoon.
The whole Dome just erupted after the hit.
