A lot of quantity ... not the most quality.

St. Louis is clearly the best player on the list, but not in a Calgary uniform in my mind.

I went McCarthy due to tenure length and impact.

heading into this vote the only name that really stood out was McCarthy and now that I have seen the list the only other one i really gave a thought to was Lavallee- he was always sort of the butt of the joke as he missed the net with ridiculous regularity but he made the NHL right out of junior and had a 30 goal season with the Flames, likely he's the better player but Sandy was closer to the top dog at his role so went with him

I had to vote for Marty. He was easily the most talented player to wear this number. I HATE that he won a cup with the Bolts. HATE it. But if I am completely honest, he is also beyond measure for this jersey number.

Love Sheehy he made Gretzky crazy when on the ice. Still remember game 3 of the Smythe division final from the dome in 86. Gretzky was yelling at the ref complaining about Sheehys antics. The crowd was screaming whiner over and over, then Sheehy blows Gretzky a kiss.

Had to go with McCarthy, since St Louis' best days were (sadly) not in Calgary.

I was at this game in 1996, and as high up as the seats were I swear I could see the fear in Brashear's eyes:

Voted Simon even though he only played one season with us as #15. It was '04 so that counts for something

Tough choice for me here.

McCarthy was a beast...but Simon was to, and could play the game straight up at a pretty decent level but he wasnt a flame very long....same as most of this list.

Simon it is.

McCarthy is the most iconic Flame on this list, IMO. Simon was a beast in the 04 run which counts for a lot, but McCarthy was a beast for years and was a favorite of mine as a kid.

Sandy McCarthy for life. He was my favorite player as a kid (partly because my first number was 15)

I even received a game worn jersey of his from '94 and still have it to this day!

McCarthy dethroned the legendary Probert. For two season's, no one was tougher.

I'm voting Steve Tambellini because of his involvement in the mess that was the Oilers for well over a decade.

Yikes, that list.

Sandy it is. Not much else to choose from there. He was a real leader as well as being an enforcer during a time when it was still very much needed.

He was also my favourite player growing up, but I think he's deserving.

Probert such a scumbag there, starts tossing them from behind when McCarthy isn't ready to go and then goes for the headbutt when he is losing.

Unfortunately, he did all that while wearing #5. He only wore #15 on his second stint with the Flames in 1991-92, when he played 35 games for the first Flames team to miss the playoffs since they moved to Calgary.

This is one horrible number in Flames history. Leaning McCarthy, but, on the other hand, nobody could ring a slap shot off the glass like Kevin Lavallee.

Nigel Dawes: Highest scoring non-Russian in the KHL history!

Rico Fata: Greatest waived Flame in CalgaryPuck history!

Steve Tambellini: Deep Flames plant in secret plan to make Edmonton no good!

Enter Sandman. NHL Heavyweight Champ from an era when Heavyweight Champ still carried some weight.
