The Hurricanes and Capitals are in the same division (the Metro div).

The Caps back up goalie, Samsonov, made 38 saves in the win and got a minor penalty for embellishment. Both teams combined for 5 goals in the third period.

It was pretty much a sure bet the Stars would defeat the Red Wings and they did. Joe Pavelski was honoured in the pregame for playing 1000 career NHL games. He got a goal and an assist, so did Roope Hintz. Lindell had 3 assists and great PK by the Stars, they were 5/5.
