Team goes right back to not knowing how to score. Outscored 8-1 over the last two home games. Frustrating. Beating a dead horse here, but wish we had gotten Hall.

1:30 mins in the second killed the Flames. Sad

GOAT!
Quick, someone tell me one more time about how we’re too good to need a league-mvp winger in his prime.

The officiating was once again horrible but they made too many dumb decisions.

Not enough tonight. Great first period.
Talbot has a great ability to make himself quite small when he is screened.
Refs not great tonight either imo.
Move onto the next one.

Pens don't give up many goals we had to win 2-1 or 1-0.

They gave Brodie the penalty in the 2nd, but they missed Crosby's trip in the 3rd.

Thought outside of a craptastic first half of the 2nd period, the flames were the better team.
Meh, hopefully the nucks and yotes lose tonight and no severe harm done.

Tkachuk has been really ####ty these past few weeks. Johnny's got his game back, but Chucky is really lacking.

The good teams are the ones that learn from their mistakes.
Saturday, after dominating the first, the Hurricanes completely took control in the second. That was the difference.
Today, after dominating the first, the Penguins completely took control in the second. That was the difference.
Frustrating and disappointing to have the exact same situation play out two games in a row.
With that said, this was ironically the Flames' best (or second best after BUF) overall game under Geoff Ward.

Horsecrap officiating but can’t have Backlund and Mangiapane in a real top six, so much offense dies on their sticks.

Felt like a repeat of the Carolina game.
Dominant 1sts, downright bad 2nds and 3rds.

younger players may take longer to adjust to a new coach

CGY wasn't that bad but PIT picked up their skating and defensive game in the second. CGY just couldn't defend that couple minute burst. IMO they needed a line to take momentum back with zone time - I'm looking at Lindholm. He needs to make things happen at centre - and get some shots and sustained pressure.
CGY got some looks but no breaks, credit to PIT and Jarry.
