Interesting -- Bennett at centre again, even if he is on the "fifth line."

It's interesting, because the 5th line is better than the 4th line

So what exactly is going on with Bennett & Czarnik? Both clearly ready to come back. Still on LTIR?

Wouldn't surprise me to see Ward use Benny at C, perhaps in Janko's spot?
Altho I have to say, hate on Janko all you want but he's been quietly effective lately.

Hopefully Bennett and Czarnik draw in games this week. Seeing Bennett at centre would be interesting also. Feel with the lineup depth, better to put him as winger, but it's an option.

Effective at what? Taking lazy penalties and bad positioning? Then yes, I agree.

Wow I haven't seen Janko score in a while. Too bad it was with his hands and a soccer ball in practice

Last game he failed to get the puck by the Canes at the blue line. Sure it was out but brought back in right away and he was out of position to stop it. Led to the controversial goal. Also managed a really dumb interference penalty in the first.

Personally I think Jankowki's been good recently, though not vs Carolina. That being said it's just the dismissive nature which dissen-towner replied that is annoying.

I would agree-aside from the Carolina game,I've been thinking that Janko has looked good under Ward.

Rinaldo-Bennett-Czarnik

is the superior fourth line. I actually have no idea how Tre is going to solve this, other than send down two players who don't deserve to be demoted (at the moment) in Jankowski and Reider. Rinaldo has kept his baser instincts in check this season, and if he can continue to be that disciplined, he is the ideal extra skater.

You can't sit Bennett and Czarnik forever, as you should be icing the best team possible.

Since Dube has quieted down a bit I could see him being sent down. Give him one more game and see if he can make a positive impact but we have seen it time and time again, coach after coach.

With proper development, Dube is the most likely player of the Flames rookies (or +2) (or +3) to be top six (-Tkachuk).

I think that development is in the NHL, until he starts to look overwhelmed, which he hasn't yet. He can go down without waivers though...

To me, Janky looks nonchalant when he plays. Like the heart isn't there. I don't know.

The way I describe Janko is it looks like he is always on the penalty kill, even when it's even strength.
