Good news on the doomsday forecasting front where all the earthquakes, tsunami's, hurricanes, etc are giving this lightly regarded business a bit of a lift.
So close is the correlation between recent events and the biblical prophecy of the Second Coming, by the reckoning of RaptureReady.com, its "Rapture Index" has been hovering around 160 — the highest levels since just after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. According to the Web site, "the higher the number, the faster we're moving towards the ... rapture." When the number is above 145, it advises: "Fasten your seatbelts!"
I'm ready!!!

Hmmm...end of the world you say...I think I'll wait till the end of the Season to see if the Leafs win the Cup before I start proclaiming that the end of the world is here.

Among the most commonly cited biblical passages describing the beginning of the end are in Matthew, where Jesus warns that "nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes," and this passage in Luke: "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring."
Um wait a sec here...didnt Cow just post that World has far less fighting going on now than at anytime? Are we missing something or again...can Religion be selective in what they believe?

Nope, makes perfect sense -- the end will come when there are just 2 wars:
One nation vs. another nation, and one kingdom vs. another kingdom.

um...ok...so are these different? Is a Nation the same as a Kingdom? Or is it the USA as a nation and say Britain as a Kingdom? Do I read into that that Britain will have to elect a King first?

A Nation is usually defined as a group of people distinguished by a common identity, and almost always by a common origin.
What you are thinking of in terms of countries is a Nation-State or just simply a political state. And the Queen is the King (Monarch).

"Although the loss of lives is deeply saddening, this act of God destroyed a wicked city," says conservative anti-gay activist Michael Marcavage on the site RepentAmerica.com. He says New Orleans was punished for a "public celebration" of homosexuality, wanton drunkenness and show of flesh.
This is awesome! I love how they preface it with "the loss of lives is deeply saddening..."
You don't feel sad you tools! You go on to say they got what they deserved in so many words!

Nation - religious belief
Kingdom - boardered property - Canada and the US are kingdoms.
That is at least what I think.
