It's fascinating to imagine where the Flames would be if they'd acquired Fabbri and Parayko for Hamilton.

Injuries have really derailed Fabbri's development. I think the Flames are way happier with Lindholm.

Some players come back good as new from a torn ACL, but Fabbri has really struggled. de la Rose is a tweener.

Definitely prefer the deal we got instead. Lindy and Hanifin are core pieces for this team, I just wish we would give Lindy a chance at 1C some point this season.

They have. He played a game on the road trip between Gaudreau and Tkachuk.

The outdoor game doesn't really count as an honest look.

Good for Yzerman for identifying an opportunity. If Fabbri canget his pivot back he can be agood piece going forward.

I love the deal we got but Parayko is for sure better than Hamilton and Hanifin. TBH I doubt that trade would've ever really been on the table.

I wouldn't say he's a lot better than Hamilton. There's something to be said for a big, smooth skating defenseman that pitches in 15 goals every season.

Parayko is a very good Dman, but I think you might be overrating him a bit here. I think Hamilton is actually a more valuable player.

I'm with Geeoff, Parayko has become one of the better defensemen in the league. He's overshadowed by Pietrangelo on the Blues, but he's the complete package for a top pairing d-man. Does everything really well.

Dang. I have zero memory of the Blues/Flames Hamilton deal. How close was that?
