Thankfully he got that big contract I wonder if he will even be able to play until the end of it. How many concussions is that now

Speculation it was from his fight with Clifford.

I seem to recall posters saying he wasn't 'playoff Ferkland' because he couldn't/wouldn't fight anymore and the injuries. Sounds like that could be a bang on assessment.

4-0 WAS over BUF, half way through the first.

And ignore the shot clock, and don't bother pointing a finger at the goalie. Every one has been an open net can't-miss-er

Just rolling the Sabres

He was just starting to turn the corner on his season too. Had three or four games in a row where he started to look like the guy from the Van/Cgy play offs.

He needs to not fight. It's that simple.

Even in Calgary, Ferly was getting concussions from hits alone.

If he can't hit and can't fight, you really neutralize his impact. What does that make him? Lee Stempniak on a big ticket?

His concussion problems are not surprising. Just go to hockeyfights and see how many fights he had in junior. He won pretty much all of them, but he had to have taken a lot of punishment.

I like fighting and the physical play and wouldn't like the game if it was taken out, but hard to see a good guy like Ferly have his career and livelihood impacted like this.

Maybe the solution is to allow fighting but they have to keep their gloves and helmuts on? As soon as one falls off, the fight is over?

I think it all started with Volchenkov's dirty elbow to Ferly's head his rookie year. #### that guy.

Got suspended 4 games for it:

Gibson has been the one man show, he is playing well in net. Silfverberg scored a shorthanded goalin the first period and it has remained 1-0 Anaheim after forty minutes.

As much as I hate the Ducks I have to admit Gibson is amazing. Might be the best goalie in the league.

Hellebuyck has been equally amazing for the Jets in SJ. Has stopped 38 of 39 after 2 periods.

Markstrom just got a delay of game penalty for covering the puck a little outside his crease with about 3 minutes left in a tie game.

Lol at Markstrom on the Getzlaf winner.

I didn’t mind the delay of game. It wasn’t off a shot or rebound. He legitimately left his crease to cover a loose puck.

By rule it actually was the right call. Just wonder if it gets called again. Especially in a tie game late in the 3rd.
