At least no sandbagging former Flames are a threat to score 4 goals tonight...

Even on a road trip the Oilers get a team on the second half of a B2B

So, are the Canucks naming a Captain, or what?

So, I am confused...
If the Vancouver Canucks played their first game in October 1970, how is it that this is their 50th season?

The same way that the Flames played their first game in Calgary in October 1980 and this is their 40th season.
No one wants to bother with worrying about the lost lockout season at this point.

Well the first game of the 71 season would be their second season not their first. Add 48 to that.

79-80 would be their 10th
89-90 would be 20th
99-00 would be 30th
09-10 would be 40th
19-20 would be 50th

Yeah, I guess in retrospect it makes the most sense to count the lockout year.

I think a coaching change could be coming in Jersey. They've looked awful for 8 straight periods and they shouldn't be THAT bad.

Totally agree about NJ. Something has to give. They have so much talent on that roster now (perhaps still young talent though). It doesn't even look like goal tending was the back breaker tonight.

It was, but the goaltender in question was Carter Hart. It should have been 1-0 Devils, but it wasn't, and the game went the other way.

Man, the adidas versions of the old Canucks jerseys were cool. What surprised me that Todd Bertuzzi wasn't wearing an adidas jersey. It was a CCM one. (And yes, that's how you're supposed to type "adidas". It's "adidas", NOT "Adidas". I know because I'm into sneakers.)
Wish the Flames would do the same thing a decade from now. Looking forward to the adidas-fied Pedestal Reds, 04 Reds, and Ol' Blastys!
